Indian railways desperately needs to learn from the US freight system and implement DPUs in all their freight locos. Then it will be easy to have multiple consists that will allow for efficient utilization of track capacity.

Nice catch Vamshi. It’s sad to see how few of your viewers are aware of the new GEVO powered Evolution locos and their environmental friendliness. Compare the black soot coming out of the same 4 stroke Alco Diesel Electrics to this GEVO powered loco. The “chug” is due to the 4 stroke engine. The 6G is powered by a 12 cylinder prime mover vs the 16 of the Alco hence not so loud a chug.

@@gtaaddict390 Why should they? There is no heavy freight movement anywhere close to us. The closest I can think is Ammasandra for the Diamond Cement plant if that is still functioning.
